"Stellar Mercenaries Unveils Jupiter Expansion for Space Shooter"

Stellar Mercenaries has just rolled out an epic upgrade with the Jupiter Expansion, significantly expanding the game's universe. This update nearly doubles the content, introducing new worlds, enemies, and missions to explore.

For those unfamiliar, Stellar Mercenaries is an exhilarating vertical-scrolling action arcade space shooter. Players embark on procedurally generated missions, customizing their ships and weapons to become the most feared mercenary in the solar system.

What’s New in the Jupiter Expansion of Stellar Mercenaries?

The Jupiter Expansion transforms Jupiter and its moons—Ganymede, Io, and Europa—into dynamic battlegrounds. Each moon presents unique challenges: Ganymede, a barren wasteland; Io, blanketed in volcanic debris; and Europa, a frozen and treacherous landscape. Meanwhile, Jupiter itself is teeming with storms, adding a thrilling layer of difficulty to your missions.

The expansion introduces two new factions vying for control: the formidable Jovian Empire, a powerful military force aiming to dominate the region, and the chaotic Pirate Council, an alliance of outlaws seeking to disrupt the order.

Players can dive into 50 new missions with diverse objectives, including hyperspace hunting, piracy, escort duties, and train defense missions. This expansion also brings six new ships to the game: the Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker. Alongside these, a range of new weapons has been added, such as the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam.

The update also introduces Tier 4 shields and armor, enhancing player survivability. New hazards await, including treacherous asteroid fields, elite enemy squadrons, and the formidable Pacifier. Some enemy mercenaries have also been upgraded, with new classes such as Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk adding to the challenge.

Lastly, the Jupiter Expansion enriches the game's audio experience with 14 new music tracks and introduces a new side missions system, providing even more ways to engage with the game.
