Supercell, the Finnish game developer, has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they're reviving the concept in a completely new form: Project R.I.S.E.
The Full Story:
Clash Heroes is officially defunct. Similar to the fate of Clash Mini, it's been shelved. However, Supercell is giving the game a second life. Project R.I.S.E. will be a social action RPG roguelite, retaining the Clash universe setting.
Supercell released an announcement video featuring Julien Le Cadre, the game lead. He confirmed the cancellation of Clash Heroes but highlighted that Project R.I.S.E. is a multiplayer-focused action RPG within the Clash universe.
For more details, watch the announcement video:
Project R.I.S.E. shares similarities with Clash Heroes but is a completely rebuilt game. It's a social action RPG roguelite where players team up in groups of three to conquer The Tower. Each playthrough explores a different floor, aiming for the highest possible level. Unlike its predecessor, the focus is on cooperative gameplay with diverse characters, rather than solo PvE.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Registration is open on the official website for a chance to participate.
