Nightdive Studios has officially rebranded the game as System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, breathing new life into this cult classic. This revitalized edition is set to launch on PC (via Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch, ensuring wide accessibility for gamers across various platforms.

The long-awaited release date for this eagerly anticipated title will be unveiled on March 20, 2025, during the Future Games Show: Spring Showcase. This announcement sets the stage for a new generation of players to dive into the legendary sci-fi RPG experience.

Originally debuting in 1999, System Shock 2 was a genre-defining masterpiece, seamlessly blending survival horror with deep RPG mechanics. Its remastered counterpart aims to preserve the game's eerie atmosphere while enhancing the experience with modern visuals and technical upgrades. The studio's 2023 remake of System Shock was met with strong reception, achieving a Metacritic score of 78/100, a user rating of 7.6/10, and an impressive 91% positive rating on Steam.
