Initially launched for closed beta in China in September 2019 and later distributed by Tencent Games, the game has entertained players with its unique premise of commanding an army of handsome, personified dishes. *The Tale of Food* will officially cease operations on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). As of today, February 18th, in-game purchases have been disabled, marking the beginning of the end for this culinary adventure. New player registrations are no longer available, and the game has been removed from the Google Play Store. However, if you've already downloaded the game, you can continue playing until the servers shut down on March 20th.
If you purchased any jewels between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, you're eligible for a refund. You can request your refund through in-game support or by emailing the developers before March 20th. It's worth noting that the game's Japan server closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. Now, the global version is the next to go.
