Exciting news for fans of the hit Apple TV+ series *Ted Lasso*: Season 4 is officially moving forward, as confirmed by star and producer Jason Sudeikis. The former *Saturday Night Live* cast member shared the update during a recent episode of the *New Heights* sports podcast, co-hosted by NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce.
During a segment teased in the latest episode, the brothers pressed Sudeikis for details on what’s next after the conclusion of Season 3, which wrapped up in the summer of 2023. In response, Sudeikis offered a playful but promising tease: “That’s what we’re writing. We’re writing Season 4 now,” he revealed. “That’s the official word, yeah. Ted’s coaching a women’s team.”

This marks the first substantial update on the show’s future in nearly two years, offering long-awaited reassurance to fans who have been eagerly awaiting more feel-good soccer action. However, many questions remain unanswered—including whether Season 4 will be the final season or where exactly the story will unfold. Even Travis Kelce couldn’t pry that information from Sudeikis when he asked if Ted might return stateside.
“Yeah, that’s too many questions, and that’s only because I don’t know,” Sudeikis replied with a laugh.
In other casting updates, Juno Temple—who plays Keeley—is reportedly in talks to rejoin the series, while Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Brett Goldstein (Roy), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie) are already confirmed to return. According to Deadline, production may kick off in Kansas City before returning to the UK, with filming expected to begin this July.
Apple TV+ has also started reigniting interest in the series. Although no release date or plot specifics have been revealed yet, the show’s official Twitter account made a surprise reappearance with a lighthearted message:
