According to an insider known as fraxiswinning, Ubisoft is set to unveil Rainbow Six Siege 2 at the Six Invitational 2025, scheduled at MGM Music Hall from February 14–16. The project, codenamed Siege X, reportedly operates on an enhanced engine that promises improved graphics, featuring revamped textures and models.
Moreover, Ubisoft may not bring back the temporary events from the original game, instead focusing on introducing fresh events. The anticipated release date for Rainbow Six Siege 2 is set during the second season of the tenth year of support, which falls in the middle of 2025.
Previously, Alexander Karpazis, the creative director of Rainbow Six Siege, stated that a full sequel was unnecessary due to the ongoing development of the current game. However, if the leak proves accurate, it seems Ubisoft might have reconsidered their stance.
It's important to approach rumors with skepticism. Without an official announcement from Ubisoft, all this remains speculative.
The Rainbow Six Siege World Championship, Six Invitational 2025, is on the horizon, set to take place in Boston. Twenty teams will battle for a piece of the $3,000,000 prize pool and the championship title. Oxygen Esports, having won the North American Last Chance Qualifier, is the final team to secure a spot.
The format of a twenty-team competition is unusual. While Ubisoft might maintain the previous year's structure—four groups with a round-robin between five teams, followed by Double Elimination playoffs—there's a chance they'll introduce a new format.
The first-place team will skip the first round, the fourth-place team will start in the lower bracket, and the remaining teams will enter the playoffs in the upper bracket. The last team in each group will be eliminated.
