The Last Knight is an engaging side quest in Wuthering Waves that adds depth to the Rinascita region. While it may not boast the epic scale of the main storyline or larger exploration quests, it offers a unique glimpse into life beyond Ragunna City and comes with rewarding benefits.
Compared to more intricate quests like "Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms" in WuWa, The Last Knight is relatively straightforward and requires less time and effort to complete. Below is a detailed walkthrough to help you navigate this quest.
To initiate The Last Knight quest, you must first complete Chapter 2, including the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. We recommend finishing the main storyline before delving into Rinascita, as many side quests, including this one, are locked until you complete Chapter 2 Act 3.
Once Chapter 2 is done, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo near the first house along the main road leading out of town. He will be marked by a blue quest marker on your map, making him easy to find.
The Night Reveries are a ceremonial performance dedicated to a knight who defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. As part of this quest, you'll need to participate by defeating the Mad Knight, among other activities.
The Mad Knight only appears at night, so advance the time to between 18:00 and 06:00 the next day. Then, head to the pool in the center of town. Defeat the Mad Knight using your strongest attacks; it's not a particularly challenging enemy.
Following the Mad Knight battle, proceed to the tallest tower in town and follow the quest marker to find Carlow. You'll find him unconscious next to a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a different instance where you must identify the mimic chest.
The first three supply chests are genuine. However, in the next set, only one chest is real—the second one in the middle-left. Opening the correct chest rewards you with Astrites and other items, but be prepared for an ambush by mimics afterward. Defeat them to proceed.
After recovering from the purple flower's effects, you'll need to visit the second and third locations that the legendary Mad Knight supposedly visited. This part of the quest involves following quest markers and engaging with NPCs.
After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will alert you to a strange scent. Follow the quest marker uphill to encounter a unique Chop Chop with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. Equip a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to parry and stun the Chop Chop effectively.
After defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper reveals that the legendary knight was a myth; it was him and other Windmill Keepers who protected the town as fake knights. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.
Return to Egla Town during the day and locate Carlow in one of the town plazas. You'll find him being taunted by two knights. Instead of retreating, Carlow vows to protect the town and challenges one of the knights to a duel, embracing the true essence of being a guardian.
The quest concludes after Carlow's duel request. Upon completion, you'll receive Union XP, Astrites, and other resources, marking The Last Knight as completed in the Tales of the Isles event.
