OBD2 Test

A unique tool for testing your system's performance, which includes an OBD-II ELM327 adapter.

Potenza Drive is an exceptionally demanding application, requesting up to 140 parameters per second¹ from your vehicle, delivering real-time sound effects.

Different hardware combinations (what we call a system or setup) can lead to a different experience, including:

• Mobile device

• OBD-II ELM327 adapter (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or USB)

• Vehicle OBD-II protocol

• Sound system

Test if your current system is compatible, or if you need to experiment with different components to run the Potenza Drive app.

TEST 1 (NORMAL COMMUNICATION): Conduct a standard speed communication test.

TEST 2 (FAST COMMUNICATION): Perform the fastest type of communication allowed. This is only supported by certain vehicle OBD-II protocols.

¹ ISO 15765-4 CAN is the only OBD-II protocol capable of delivering up to 140 parameters per second, when used with an OBD-II adapter featuring a higher-quality chip. Older OBD-II protocols can, in the worst case, provide only 4 parameters per second.
