J.C. Lee Denies Elder Abuse Claims Against Her

In a recent interview with Business Insider, J.C. Lee, the daughter of the iconic Marvel creator Stan Lee, has publicly addressed and denied the allegations of elder abuse leveled against her. These accusations, which surfaced in 2017 following the passing of her mother, Joan, were prominently featured in a 2018 piece by The Hollywood Reporter (THR). The THR article portrayed a troubling relationship between J.C. Lee and her parents, alleging that she pressured them for money and control over their assets, and engaged in heated arguments with Stan Lee, culminating in at least one alleged physical altercation. The report also included photographic evidence of a bruise on Joan Lee's arm, which J.C. Lee has strongly contested.

J.C. Lee, in her first public response to these claims, described them as "a lie" during the Business Insider interview. She explained that she initially refrained from publicly defending herself following the THR piece on the advice of those around her, a decision she now regrets. "You think I haven't regretted it to this day?" she questioned, firmly denying the allegations. "They are all lies. That photo is insane. I never did it."

While admitting to having had heated arguments with her parents over financial matters, J.C. Lee emphasized that these disputes never escalated to physical violence. "I never ever touched my parents," she asserted.

Stan Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95 due to a heart attack.
