Here, you'll encounter a woman discussing a game of hunting origami butterflies, which you can also find scattered around the city, often pinned to tree trunks with real butterflies fluttering nearby.

As you gather these unique paper butterflies, you'll uncover disturbing notes hinting at the true nature of the Butterfly Collector. Far from a harmless game, this secret society of women is involved in the sinister act of kidnapping children from affluent families to gain power and influence.

Your mission is clear: stop their nefarious activities by tracking down and neutralizing all five members of this faction.

How and Where To Find All Butterfly Collector Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To locate the members of the Butterfly Collector, you'll need to follow geographical clues, but we've simplified the process by detailing the exact locations of each target.

Shucho

Image Source: Ubisoft via The Escapist Start your hunt in the Fishermen’s District at the southeastern tip of Osaka. Shucho, dressed in green, can be found frantically searching at an intersection. She has lost the child she kidnapped, who is hiding nearby behind some horses. Use Naoe’s blade or Yasuke’s weapons to take her down, then rescue the child.

Mucho

Mucho, disguised as a family servant, is struggling with her current victim on the road south of the ruins. Use the child's resistance to approach, then eliminate Mucho when she attacks. Escort the child back to her mother before moving on.

Richo

Image Source: Ubisoft via The Escapist Travel to the northern end of Osaka, specifically Noda Village across the water. Richo, dressed in pink, can be found within a bamboo grove, checking on a ransom payment. You can take her down stealthily or through combat, then rescue the kidnapped child.

Kacho

She's located just north of the Nishinomaru Garden, west of Osaka Castle, in a restricted area. Look for the swarm of butterflies to find her. Engage her in conversation, then prepare for a deadly battle. Kacho will fight to the death, leaving one final task.

Gamemaker

Finally, return to the Gamemaker, the one who initiated the butterfly hunt. As a former victim, she created the game to expose the Butterfly Collector and save others. You'll face a choice: punish her for her involvement or allow her a fresh start. Opting for the latter lets her adopt a new identity and begin anew.
