Nintendo has officially announced that preorders for the eagerly awaited Nintendo Switch 2 will kick off on April 9 in the United States, and a day earlier on April 8 in the UK. Mark your calendars for June 5, 2025, when this next-generation console will hit the shelves with a price tag of $449.99.

Gamers looking for a bundled deal can opt for the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle, available from launch day for $499.99 in the US. This package includes the system and a download code for the highly anticipated Mario Kart World game. For those who prefer to buy the game separately, Mario Kart World will be available at a suggested retail price of $79.99.

You can also register your interest directly with Nintendo to be notified about preorders for the Nintendo Switch 2 and its accessories via the My Nintendo Store. Invitations to purchase will be dispatched through email on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to users who have a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership and have logged at least 50 gameplay hours by April 2, 2025. After priority users, remaining eligible registrants will be considered. Keep in mind that invitations are non-transferable and valid for only 72 hours. Purchases are limited to one system and one of each accessory per account. Major retailers are also set to open preorders on April 9, 2025.
