Jump King Mobile Launch Includes Both Expansions

Jump King, the notoriously difficult 2D platformer that has become a test of perseverance for gamers who thrive on a challenge, is now available on mobile. Nexile and UKIYO Publishing have officially released the game globally for Android and iOS, following a limited regional soft launch.

The free-to-play title initially soft-launched on mobile in the UK, Canada, the Philippines, and Denmark back in March. It faithfully recreates the same punishing jumping mechanics that defined the 2019 PC and 2020 console releases.

What is Jump King Like on Mobile?

You control an armored character whose sole ability is jumping. That's the entire premise. However, every jump must be calculated and perfectly executed; a single misstep sends you tumbling back down to a previous checkpoint. Every jump you make is automatically saved.

Your objective is to climb to the very top to find the legendary Smoking Hot Babe. Be warned: she offers no shortcuts. One mistimed leap can erase all your progress, forcing you to begin your ascent all over again.

The controls have been expertly adapted for touchscreens. Simply press and hold to charge your jump, then release to launch into the air. The experience is a tense mix of precision, patience, panic, and the consequences of poor judgment.

What Else Is Important to Know?

Jump King Mobile uses a heart-based system. You begin with 300 hearts, losing one each time you fall. You can spin a daily fortune wheel to earn between 10 and 150 hearts, or watch ads to replenish your supply when you run out, up to a maximum of 150 free hearts via this method.

The mobile version comes with two full expansions. New Babe+ offers a second chapter with a strange and demanding new route. Ghost of the Babe, meanwhile, presents a haunting third act that takes you through the sparsely populated territories beyond the Philosopher’s Forest.
