AFK Journey Characters Ranked in Latest Tier List

This tier list ranks AFK Journey characters based on versatility, overall performance in PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP. Note that many characters are viable; this focuses on optimal choices for endgame content.

AFK Journey Tier List

Most AFK Journey heroes are usable. However, some excel in high-level content. This ranking considers versatility and performance across various game modes.

S-Tier Characters

Lily May, a recent addition, is a top-tier Wilder, offering exceptional damage and utility. She counters Eironn teams in PvP and excels in PvE and Dream Realm. Thoran remains the best F2P tank, even with Phraesto's availability (considered a luxury unit). Reinier is a priority support for PvE and PvP (especially Dream Realm and Arena). Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for most game modes. Odie is crucial for Dream Realm and PvE. Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team. Tasi, another strong Wilder, provides crowd control across most game modes (except perhaps Dream Realm, though this may change). Harak, a powerful Hypogean/Celestial warrior, gets stronger with each kill, making him a formidable late-game unit.

A-Tier Characters

Lyca and Vala effectively utilize Haste. Lyca boosts party Haste, while Vala increases her own with each marked enemy kill. Antandra is a solid tank alternative to Thoran. Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy drain and AoE attacks (less effective in Dream Realm). Alsa, a strong DPS mage, is a viable alternative to Carolina in PvP, particularly with Eironn. Phraesto, a durable tank, lacks damage output. Ludovic is a powerful Graveborn healer, synergizing well with Talene and excelling in PvP. Cecia, while still a good Marksman, has decreased in value due to meta shifts. Sonja significantly enhances the Lightborne faction with respectable damage and utility.

B-Tier Characters

B-Tier characters are suitable for filling roles but are outclassed by higher-tier alternatives. Valen and Brutus are strong early-game DPS choices. Granny Dahnie is a decent early-game tank. Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays but less useful in other modes. Florabelle is a secondary DPS supporting Cecia but requires significant investment. Soren is decent in PvP but not optimal elsewhere. Korin's Dream Realm effectiveness has diminished.

C-Tier Characters

C-Tier characters are quickly outclassed in the late game. Parisa, while offering early-game AoE control, should be replaced as soon as possible.
