Befriend Dwarves in Stardew Valley: Ultimate Guide

Meeting the Dwarf

Located in the mines, to the right of the first floor entrance, a boulder hides the Dwarf's shop. Destroy it using a copper pickaxe or bomb to reveal his dwelling.

Learning Dwarvish

Initially, communication is impossible. Gifts have no effect until you obtain the Dwarvish Translation guide. This is awarded by Gunther after donating all four Dwarf Scrolls to the Museum. After acquiring the guide, return to the mines to begin meaningful interaction.

Gift Guide

Friendship hinges on gifting. Remember, the Dwarf's birthday is Summer 22nd (gifts yield 8x friendship points). You can give up to two gifts weekly.

The Dwarf attends movie screenings. He loves all movie choices but has specific snack preferences: He loves Stardrop Sorbet and Rock Candy; he likes Cotton Candy, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jawbreaker, Salmon Burger, Sour Slimes, and Star Cookie. Other concessions are disliked.
