Bethesda to Monetize Elder Scrolls VI NPC Roles

Bethesda Softworks is once again inviting adventurers into Tamriel, but this time offers a unique opportunity for a single fan to shape its future. Through a Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic charity auction, the highest bidder will partner with Bethesda’s developers to create a permanent NPC for The Elder Scrolls VI.

This collaboration goes beyond picking a name or look. The winner will work directly with the creative team to build a character with potential influence on the game’s story. From a roving scholar or enigmatic trader to a fabled hero, the creative freedom is vast. The bidder could even see their own likeness woven into the fabric of Tamriel.

The current leading bid is $11,050, and with the auction still active, that figure is expected to rise. While excitement builds, Bethesda has not shared a release date for The Elder Scrolls VI, keeping fans guessing when they might encounter this unique addition.

Should the auction winner choose to include themselves in The Elder Scrolls VI, they will join an exclusive group that includes Shirley Curry, the cherished “Skyrim Grandma,” who has already been confirmed for a role in the game.

With no official launch window announced, The Elder Scrolls VI likely won’t be released before 2026. Yet whenever it arrives, one fortunate fan’s creative mark will become a lasting part of its world.
