A determined gamer, b00lin, waged a 763-day legal battle against Activision, successfully overturning an unfair ban and clearing their Steam reputation. The ordeal began in December 2023 after b00lin played over 36 hours of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta. Initially dismissed as a technical error, Activision refused to revoke the ban despite b00lin's appeals.

Undeterred, b00lin pursued legal action. Activision, citing security concerns, withheld evidence of alleged cheating, even refusing to disclose the name of the flagged software. The court case ultimately revealed a lack of concrete evidence against b00lin, highlighting Activision's stringent anti-cheat secrecy. The judge ruled in b00lin's favor, ordering Activision to lift the ban and cover legal costs. Victory finally arrived in early 2025.
