Uncover Captain Henqua's Spoils in Avowed: A Guide to Treasure Hunting

Avowed's world encourages exploration, and treasure maps are a key part of that. This guide details how to find and utilize Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map in Dawnshore.

Finding the Treasure Map

The map is located at the top of the lighthouse in the western part of Calviger’s Landing, within The Living Lands region. Navigate to the southern part of The Living Lands map and then head west to find Calviger’s Landing. Ascend the lighthouse using the surrounding ledges and scaffolding.

Locating Captain Henqua's Spoils

After obtaining the map, follow its directions. Find the river near the lighthouse and head north along the riverbank to a broken bridge (northeast of the Old Pargrun Wall and Western Pargrun Wall Beacon fast travel point). Swim to the western opening under the bridge, entering a cave where you'll find the treasure chest containing the Wind and Wave shield.

The Wind and Wave Shield

The Wind and Wave shield boasts a 10% movement speed increase and 20% Frost Accumulation resistance. Its Superb Quality makes it superior to other early-game shields. It can be upgraded to Legendary quality using rare resources.
