Leaked 2005 James Bond audition tapes surface online, showcasing Henry Cavill's impressive performance before Daniel Craig secured the role.

Games Radar reports the footage, featuring Cavill alongside Sam Worthington, Rupert Friend, and Anthony Starr, appeared on the Ron South YouTube channel, run by a filmmaker with a modest subscriber base.

Cavill's audition has garnered significant attention, with many, including Casino Royale director Martin Campbell, praising his "tremendous" performance. Campbell reportedly favored Cavill, but ultimately, other executives chose Craig.

Cavill later fulfilled his spy aspirations in "Argylle," a film starring a remarkable ensemble cast including Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, and Catherine O’Hara. Despite the star-studded lineup, the film received poor critical reception, scoring a mere 4/10 on IGN.

Cavill maintains a successful and diverse acting career, notably portraying Superman for DC, Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's "The Witcher," and numerous other prominent roles.
