Civilization VII: A Roadmap to Global Domination

Civilization VII's launch is imminent, slated for February 11th, with early access for Deluxe and Founders Editions beginning February 6th. The game will be available across all major platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, including Steam Deck compatibility. A day-one patch is also planned.

The developers at Firaxis Games and publisher 2K have declared the game "gold," signifying the completion of primary development and a commitment to the release date, barring unforeseen complications. This marks a significant milestone for the renowned 4X strategy series.

The first DLC, "Crossroads of the World," arrives in March, divided into two parts. The initial release introduces Great Britain and Carthage as playable civilizations, along with the historical figure Ada Lovelace as a new leader. Three weeks later, the second installment adds Simon Bolivar as a leader and Bulgaria and Nepal as new civilizations.

A second DLC, "Right to Rule," is anticipated in the second or third quarter of 2025 (April-September). This expansion promises even more content, including two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and fresh natural wonders.

Firaxis has also outlined plans for ongoing post-launch improvements. March will see the addition of new in-game events and natural wonders, such as the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest. These updates aim to enhance the gameplay experience and provide players with continuous challenges.
