Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Demo Available Today

A free demo for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's spin-off, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, launches today! Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam at 7am Pacific / 10am Eastern / 3pm UK time.

The demo, announced via X/Twitter, offers a taste of the full game's freeroam and combat, allowing players to explore parts of Honolulu and Madlantis – areas not accessible early in the main game. It features the Mad Dog and Sea Dog fighting styles, challenging bounty enemies, ship and deck battles in the Pirates' Coliseum, new customization options, and even karaoke with three songs. Note that progress likely won't carry over to the full game, which releases February 21st on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (without a demo).

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, following amnesiac pirate Goro Majima, promises a longer experience than Like a Dragon Gaiden, estimated at 15-18 hours. The October Xbox Partner Showcase trailer showcased ship combat reminiscent of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and the return of Taiga Saejima, hinting at stronger ties to the main series. A Kiryu Kazuma costume is available for those who register for email notifications or a Sega rewards program.
