Dune Awakening received new trailer and official release date

Denis Villeneuve's successful film adaptations have generated significant excitement for the upcoming survival MMO, Dune: Awakening. The wait is almost over! Developer Funcom has announced the official PC release date: May 20th. Console players will need to wait a bit longer, but for now, the newly released gameplay trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse of what's to come.

The trailer showcases the vast desert landscapes, intense combat sequences, base-building mechanics, and, of course, the awe-inspiring sandworms – all the hallmarks of a true Dune experience.

Players will step into the boots of a prisoner exiled to the harsh planet of Arrakis. Their journey begins with a daring escape from captivity, leading them on a perilous quest to unravel the mystery surrounding the disappearance of the Fremen.

To ensure a smooth launch, Funcom has proactively released a benchmark tool and a character creator. This allows PC players to optimize their game settings and design their characters ahead of time, minimizing delays on launch day.
