RuneScape's April Developer Diary has arrived, detailing the latest update: "Return to the Desert: Pharaoh's Folly." This brand-new quest launches today and will be available until April 28th. Your mission is to survive the treacherous Shifting Tombs and, alongside allies Leela and Ozan, attempt to alter the desert's grim destiny.
The situation in the Kharidian desert is escalating, with Menaphos descending into chaos. Following Osman's ultimate betrayal of his own people, the city is crumbling from within.
The populace is divided, the sinister influence of Amascut spreads through the shadows, and prospects look dire. Escaping the perilous Shifting Tombs is merely the first challenge in a series of looming threats.
You won't face this alone. Leela has sprung into action, and you'll have new allies—including some helpful pets—by your side. Together, you'll delve into Menaphos's ancient secrets and work to uncover Osman's true, treacherous plans.
Successfully completing Pharaoh's Folly comes with substantial rewards in RuneScape. You can earn Thieving and Agility XP, acquire the title "The Rabble-Rouser," and obtain a new bracelet called Leela's Favour.
This final reward grants you teleportation access to all districts of Menaphos, the Sophanem Slayer Dungeon, the Shifting Tombs, and all active Soul Obelisks.
The "Return to the Desert: Pharaoh's Folly" quest is not for novice adventurers fresh from Lumbridge. Requirements include a Slayer level of 87, completion of the first quest "Beneath Scabaras' Sands," and fulfilling various objectives from the "Do No Evil" quest within the Phite Club.
Additionally, you must have constructed specific structures from the Fort Forinthry storyline. Only then can you rendezvous with Leela outside Menaphos's gates and strive to pull the city back from the brink. If you meet all these criteria, dive into the game via the Google Play Store and embark on your Return to the Desert!
