EA Play Bids Farewell to Two Titles in February 2025
Get ready, EA Play subscribers! February 2025 marks the departure of two popular titles from the EA Play game library. Madden NFL 23 will be removed on February 15th, followed by F1 22 on February 28th. This removal doesn't signify a complete shutdown of the games themselves; online multiplayer functionality may persist, but these games will no longer be accessible via EA Play subscription. Subscribers are encouraged to enjoy these titles while they remain available.
Beyond the Library Changes
The removal of Madden NFL 23 and F1 22 isn't the only change coming to EA's offerings. EA has also announced the shutdown of UFC 3's online services on February 17th. The game's future availability on EA Play remains unclear, but the loss of online features significantly impacts the overall experience.
What's Still Available?
While losing these games is undoubtedly disappointing, EA Play subscribers still have plenty to look forward to. Newer installments in these franchises—Madden NFL 24, F1 23, and UFC 4—will remain accessible. Furthermore, UFC 5 is set to join the EA Play lineup on January 14th, adding a fresh fighting game experience.
Games Leaving EA Play:
This turnover is typical for subscription services, but the availability of newer titles within the same franchises should mitigate some of the disappointment for EA Play members.
