Relic Entertainment, renowned for Company of Heroes, unveils a fresh, smaller-scale turn-based strategy game: Earth vs. Mars. Launching this Summer on PC (Steam), the game pits players against a Martian invasion. The core mechanic involves creating unique creature-human hybrids using the Splice-O-Tron, resulting in quirky units like the Squirrel-Cow, Human-Rhino, and Cheetah-Fly. Gameplay draws inspiration from the classic Advance Wars for Nintendo DS.
Relic explains the premise: "Martians have secretly infiltrated Earth, abducting humans and animals to exploit their atomic energy. Now, a full-scale invasion is underway, and a diverse group of commanders must lead Earth's resistance. Players will command Earth's forces against advanced Martian saucers, grav-tanks, and elite alien soldiers in a desperate fight for survival."

Earth vs. Mars boasts a 30+ mission single-player campaign, online multiplayer (playable as either faction), a VS Mode for AI challenges, and a map editor.
Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell comments, “We’re thrilled to put a Relic spin on the Advance Wars formula, incorporating our signature style while drawing inspiration from past titles. Our new strategy involves developing smaller, indie-style games alongside our traditional RTS offerings. This allows us to explore new genres, experiment creatively, and release games more often.” Add it to your Steam wishlist today!
