Final Fantasy XIV is officially coming to mobile devices, bringing years of content to players on the go. Developed by Tencent's Lightspeed Studios in collaboration with Square Enix, this mobile version will let you explore Eorzea in the palm of your hand.

The announcement ends months of speculation. Final Fantasy XIV, known for its initially disastrous launch and subsequent remarkable turnaround, is now a cornerstone of Square Enix's portfolio. The original 2012 release was heavily criticized, leading to a complete overhaul with "A Realm Reborn."

Set in the familiar world of Eorzea, the mobile version promises a substantial amount of content at launch, including nine playable jobs and the return of popular minigames like Triple Triad, utilizing the Armoury system for job switching.

This mobile release marks a significant milestone for Final Fantasy XIV, given its history and current success. The partnership with Tencent suggests a strong collaborative effort.

However, the initial mobile release might not include all the game's extensive content. It's likely that expansions and updates will be added gradually over time, rather than attempting to port everything at once.
