Square Enix Makes Foamstars Free-to-Play Starting October 4th

No More PS+ Subscription Needed

In a recent support page update, Square Enix revealed that Foamstars will transition to a free-to-play model. This means no PlayStation Plus subscription will be required to play. Currently priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, the game will be available for free download starting October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC.

A special "Legacy Gift" awaits players who purchased Foamstars before the switch. This exclusive in-game bundle includes:

• 12 unique Bubble Beastie skins
• 1 exclusive Slide Board
• The "Legacy" title
