However, this enthusiasm proved short-lived for some. Many players abandoned Forspoken after a few hours, criticizing the "ridiculous dialogue" and weak storyline. While others appreciated the combat, parkour, and gameplay mechanics, the overall consensus points to the narrative and dialogue as major detractors, rendering the experience unpleasant for those who engage with them.

It appears the PS Plus release hasn't revived Forspoken's fortunes; its inconsistent nature remains a significant hurdle. The action RPG follows Frey, a New Yorker transported to the breathtaking yet perilous land of Athia. Armed with newfound magical abilities, Frey must navigate this expansive world, battle formidable creatures, and overcome powerful matriarchs known as the Tants to find her way back home.
