Fortnite Rumored to Crossover with Popular Anime Kaiju No. 8

Recent leaks suggest a potential crossover between the immensely popular battle royale game, Fortnite, and the hit anime series, Kaiju No. 8. Given Kaiju No. 8's current global popularity, such a collaboration seems plausible. Adding to the excitement, rumors also point towards a possible Demon Slayer crossover.

The buzz began with a prominent Fortnite leaker's claim of an upcoming Kaiju No. 8 collaboration. This news follows the January 17th arrival of Godzilla, obtainable through the Chapter 6 Season 1 battle pass. This isn't Godzilla's only appearance in the game, and his cosmetics won't be available in the Item Shop.

Fortnite's recent Winterfest event and the first major 2025 update have introduced new cosmetics and gameplay changes. These include using Fortnite Festival instruments as back blings and pickaxes, and expanding instrument use across game modes. A local co-op mode for Fortnite Festival has also been added. These updates coincide with a flurry of speculation regarding future features and crossovers.

A well-known leaker, HYPEX, tweeted about the potential Kaiju No. 8 collaboration. The anime, based on a popular manga, follows Kafka Hibino, who gains kaiju-transforming abilities after an unusual encounter. His story involves joining an organization dedicated to eliminating these monsters. The anime, which debuted in 2024, is slated for a second season in 2025. This crossover, if confirmed, would add Kaiju No. 8 to the ranks of other anime franchises like Dragon Ball Z already featured in Fortnite.

Beyond Kaiju No. 8, multiple leakers suggest a Demon Slayer crossover is also in the works. While details on both collaborations remain scarce, many anticipate new cosmetics in the Item Shop, and some hope for in-game map representation of characters from both anime.
