FragPunk, a new 5v5 multiplayer first-person shooter, has launched on PC, receiving a mixed 67% rating on Steam. The game's unique feature is its innovative use of fragment-cards. These dynamically alter gameplay mid-match, creating unpredictable and varied battles. Developers describe the cards as combinable, counteracting each other, and adding significant tactical depth.
Players can select from 13 unique launchers, each with special abilities, catering to both solo and team-based playstyles. FragPunk emphasizes both individual skill and strategic teamwork in online matches.
However, Bad Guitar, the studio behind FragPunk, has announced a delay for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console versions. Initially scheduled for March 6th, the launch was postponed two days prior due to unforeseen technical issues. A new release date is yet to be announced, but the developers assure players of ongoing updates.
