Many games launch with optimization issues, later patched. *FragPunk*, however, has enjoyed smooth performance since release. While further frame rate improvements are always possible, here's a guide to the best *FragPunk* settings and crosshair codes for optimal gameplay.

*FragPunk*'s settings are divided into five tabs. Beyond the Video tab, most settings are quality-of-life or accessibility options with minimal performance impact, though some enhance gameplay. We'll highlight those; others can remain at default or be adjusted to personal preference.
The General tab houses most quality-of-life/preference settings. Experiment to find what suits you best. These are the recommended adjustments, though some subjectivity remains:
Customize your keybinds as desired. A notable suggestion: since Automatic Sprint is enabled, rebind walking to Shift, mirroring common setups in *VALORANT* and *CS2*.
Personal preference dictates sensitivity settings. Experiment or use online calculators to convert settings from other games like *VALORANT* or *CS2*.
Adjust Sound Effects to a comfortable level. Lower Music, Announcer, and Button Volume. Enable Character Voice Simplification to remove unnecessary banter.
Voice chat settings are entirely personal preference.

The Video tab offers the greatest performance optimization. These settings prioritize performance over visual fidelity. In a competitive shooter like *FragPunk*, frame rate is crucial. High-end PCs might tolerate higher quality settings, but these are optimal for most users.
