Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, especially with limited weaponry. This guide shows you how to acquire the Dogwood Village Bow for free, providing a significant early advantage.

After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Conveniently, the blacksmith's location, marked on your map, leads directly to the bow. Even if you choose the miller route, this detour is worthwhile.
The blacksmith's workshop is in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. Travel west from Troskowitz, following the path north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area hides a small training ground.

Locate the archery target; collect the arrows for extra ammunition. To the right of the target, against a tree trunk, you'll find the Dogwood Village Bow. There are also nearby brew and mushrooms you can gather.
Alternative Acquisition:
While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, the cost isn't justified given its proximity to the free bow. Vitek offers superior weapons, however, and alchemy provides a viable income stream.
Regardless of your weapon choice, a ranged option significantly improves combat, especially given the game's difficulty settings. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's combat retains similarities to its predecessor, making ranged weapons a valuable asset for many players.
After acquiring the bow, you can continue the blacksmith questline (saving after forging a sword), or proceed to the miller to advance the main storyline.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
