New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

While we're all still waiting with bated breath for Nintendo Switch 2 updates, there's some fantastic news about another fan favorite. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently showcased gameplay for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (previously known as Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean in Hawaii), revealing some intriguing details.

The presentation video highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and a diverse range of explorable locations. Goro Majima will feature two distinct combat styles: a nimble, fast-paced approach and a more strategic style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing to battles, exploration, and treasure hunting. Hidden islands and original side quests await discovery during gameplay.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's close: the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch! This is a welcome change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's predecessor, where this feature was locked behind a more expensive edition, drawing criticism towards SEGA. This is excellent news, and we only have to wait approximately six weeks for the official launch.
