New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all still waiting with bated breath for Nintendo Switch 2 updates, there's some fantastic news about another fan favorite. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently showcased gameplay for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (previously known as Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean in Hawaii), revealing some intriguing details.

The presentation video highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and a diverse range of explorable locations. Goro Majima will feature two distinct combat styles: a nimble, fast-paced approach and a more strategic style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing to battles, exploration, and treasure hunting. Hidden islands and original side quests await discovery during gameplay.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's close: the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch! This is a welcome change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's predecessor, where this feature was locked behind a more expensive edition, drawing criticism towards SEGA. This is excellent news, and we only have to wait approximately six weeks for the official launch.
