Gran Turismo and Forza's main competitor Assetto Corsa EVO is released today

Get ready, racing fans! Assetto Corsa EVO, by Kunos Simulazioni Studios, hits Steam Early Access on January 16, 2025!

Initially, expect 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite being in Early Access, the developers promise incredibly realistic physics, handling, and car behavior.

A standout feature is the free-roam mode. A significant summer 2025 update will introduce the legendary Nürburgring, featuring a massive, laser-scanned open world spanning up to 1600 square kilometers, with planned expansions.

Assetto Corsa EVO aims to rival giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, boasting photorealistic visuals and advanced physics. The full release will eventually boast 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with more added via free updates. Expect accurate track conditions, from tire wear to wet surfaces, and lively, animated spectators for a truly immersive experience.

Enhanced car dynamics, suspension, and shock absorption are key improvements. The Early Access version will include Driving Academy mode, challenging players to complete tracks within time limits to earn a license unlocking top-tier vehicles. This will be a key single-player component of the Early Access release.
