Known Habitats – Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, and Ruins of Wyveria
Breakable Parts – Tail and Forelegs
Recommended Elemental Attack – Fire and Lightning
Effective Status Effects – Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
Effective Items – Flash Pod, Shock Trap, Pitfall Trap
Doshaguma, despite its imposing size, is incredibly agile, capable of swift jumps and dashes that can make it a challenging target, particularly for melee weapon users. To momentarily stun this creature, deploy a Flash Pod. This will temporarily blind the monster, providing you with a window to either attack or mount its back for a strategic advantage.
Focus your attacks on Doshaguma's legs, particularly the forelegs, which have a 3-star weakness, making them prime targets for damage. While the back legs offer a 2-star weakness, they're less effective. The head is another vital spot with a 3-star weakness, ideal for dealing significant damage. Additionally, while not as effective, attacking the tail can lead to breaking it, yielding valuable monster parts.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, fire and lightning are your best elemental choices against Doshaguma. Bowgun users should equip Flaming and Thunder ammo. Enhance your weapons with decorations that boost fire skills. Target the head and torso with fire attacks, and focus exclusively on the head for lightning strikes.
Doshaguma's attacks can inflict Blastblight, a status ailment that leads to an explosion if not managed. To counteract this, consume a Nulberry or use Deodorant. Alternatively, dodge-roll three times to dispel the effect before it becomes critical.
Leverage the environment to your advantage. The areas where Doshaguma roams often feature natural traps. Ensure your weapon is sheathed to use your slinger effectively, and position the monster directly under the trap before activating it.

Capturing Doshaguma alive is another strategy in Monster Hunter Wilds. Weaken the monster until its HP drops below 20 percent. Then, set up a Shock or Pitfall Trap. Lure Doshaguma towards the trap using Luring Ammo or meat as bait. Once trapped, quickly administer tranquilizer shots, possibly multiple times, to ensure it falls asleep.
This guide covers all you need to know about confronting and capturing Doshaguma in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Before embarking on your hunt, don't forget to fortify yourself with a hearty meal for those crucial food buffs.
