Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Deep Dive into New Features

Hearthstone's Season 8 has arrived, bringing exciting updates to Battlegrounds. This includes new heroes, cards, and trinkets, alongside a revamp of existing minions and the introduction of new spells. Let's explore the key changes!

Trinkets: The New Power-Ups

The core addition is the introduction of Trinkets. Fifty-six Lesser Trinkets and sixty Greater Trinkets are available, with the possibility of receiving duplicates. These power-ups are acquired on turns 6 and 9, offering four choices each time. Importantly, the trinkets offered are tailored to your hero and current board composition (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.).

Marin the Manager: The New Hero

Meet Marin the Manager, the newest Battlegrounds hero. Marin's unique ability allows you to obtain a Trinket one turn earlier than usual, providing a significant strategic advantage.

Minions and Spells: A Roster Refresh

Season 8 sees a significant minion roster update. Forty-one minions have been removed, while twenty-two fan favorites return. Adding to the mix are twenty-seven brand new minions and two fresh Tavern spells.

New Cards to Collect

Four new cards enhance the gameplay:

• Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after surviving combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
• Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Strengthens your lower-tier minions.
• Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
• Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's three leftmost minions.

Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt Event

From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event. Complete Event Quests to earn fourteen total packs, including those from the Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop expansions.
