Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of New Content and Features

Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a whirlwind of surprises, fresh gameplay mechanics, and exciting new features. The usual three expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons are all on the way. The positive reception to the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has clearly energized Blizzard, leading to an ambitious roadmap for the year.

What's New in the Year of the Raptor?

A major highlight is the highly anticipated Arena revamp. In development since last year, this update breathes new life into the Arena mode, attracting both veteran and new players.

Cosmetics are also getting a significant upgrade. Expect new Mythic skins and Signature cards, alongside a brand-new addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, though the specifics remain under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the "Into the Emerald Dream" expansion. Card reveals commence next week, but in-game celebrations are already underway. Complete the Event Track to earn rewards including The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

A dynamic new game board is launching alongside the expansion. This Year of the Raptor board will remain throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each subsequent expansion.
