Patch 8, introducing crossplay, lacks an official release date. However, a stress test in January 2025 will allow chosen players to experience crossplay and other new features early. This test helps Larian Studios identify and fix bugs before the wider release.

How to Join the Patch 8 Stress Test

To participate in the Patch 8 Stress Test and be among the first to try Baldur's Gate 3's crossplay, register through Larian's Stress Test Registration form. You'll need a Larian account – create one or log in if you already have one. The registration process is quick and simple, requiring basic information like your gaming platform (PC, PlayStation, or Xbox).

Important Note: Registration doesn't guarantee selection. Successful applicants will receive an email with further instructions. Selected players will provide feedback via forms and Discord.

The stress test also evaluates the patch's effect on mods, so mod users and creators should consider signing up to ensure compatibility.
