The popular mobile beat 'em up ARPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is shutting down on October 30th, 2024. This announcement, made via Netmarble's official forums, comes as a surprise given the game's six-year run and numerous high-profile collaborations.

In-app purchases have already been disabled. According to the developer, a contributing factor to the closure is the depletion of characters from the King of Fighters franchise suitable for adaptation into the game. While this likely isn't the sole reason, it offers some insight into the decision.
