LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship and New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

LEGO has announced the launch of nine exciting new Star Wars sets, set to be released on May 1, 2025. This release aligns with Disney's celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, which LEGO marks annually with a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In past years, fans were treated to the Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, enthusiasts can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I among long-time Star Wars aficionados. Notably, the name was changed to "Firespray Starship" in 2021 at Disney's request, a change that LEGO has confirmed and seems set to continue.

The latest large-scale iteration of this LEGO starship, last seen in 2019 with a 20th anniversary set of 1007 pieces, is inspired by its appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new 2025 model, boasting 2970 pieces, reflects its design from Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. This new set is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, with dimensions measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
