Director Ji-Won Choi recently treated fans of the steampunk Soulslike, Lies of P, to an anniversary message brimming with exciting news. The letter serves as both a thank you to the community and a tantalizing preview of upcoming content.
One year after Lies of P's release, developer NEOWIZ celebrated the game's success with a heartfelt message from Choi. The director acknowledged the team's dedication, working through Korea's summer heat to develop the upcoming DLC. He highlighted the crucial role fan support played in this process, promising a DLC that expands on the original's strengths while addressing previous shortcomings.
"Our goal for the Lies of P DLC and sequel is to build upon our successes and improve areas needing refinement," Choi explained. "It sounds simple, but mastering the fundamentals is far from easy." He also expressed gratitude to Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.

The most significant revelation came at the letter's conclusion: Choi unveiled new concept art and a musical snippet from the DLC's soundtrack. The art depicts P in a snowy location, gazing at a lighthouse—a scene promising more perilous adventures.
The shared music, while labeled "new," is actually a 2022 composition by "onoken," though NEOWIZ owns both the track and a similar, newly created piece. The accompanying music video, reminiscent of Lies of P's style, shows a character with a clockwork weapon rescuing a captive girl.
While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch sometime during the second half of 2024. The DLC will join four other NEOWIZ titles:
⚫︎ The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy
⚫︎ Cats & Soup: Malang Town
⚫︎ Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe
⚫︎ Project IG
Last November, Choi released an eight-minute video featuring early DLC concept art, showcasing an industrial facility and a wrecked ship.

Choi concluded his message with assurances of a thrilling DLC experience, emphasizing the team's dedication to exceeding fan expectations. Importantly, he confirmed that this DLC is only the first step; a full sequel is also in development.
