Lunar Remastered Arrives 2023

The highly anticipated Lunar Remastered Collection arrives April 18th! This remastered duology, developed by Game Arts and published by GungHo Online Entertainment, brings the classic Lunar games to modern consoles and PC.

Key Features:

  • Launch Date: April 18th, 2024 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S compatibility). Physical copies will be available in select North American and European stores.
  • Enhanced Experience: Enjoy updated graphics, a re-recorded soundtrack, widescreen support, and high-definition cutscenes. A classic mode replicates the original PS1 visuals for purists.
  • Modern Conveniences: Fully voiced dialogue in Japanese and English, plus French and German subtitles. Quality-of-life improvements include faster combat and auto-battle options.

The collection includes both Lunar: The Silver Star and Lunar: Eternal Blue, updated for a modern audience while retaining the charm of the originals. The inclusion of features like speed-up combat and auto-battle aligns with similar additions seen in recent JRPG remasters, such as Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. This release continues the trend of beloved JRPGs receiving updated releases on current platforms, following the success of the Grandia HD Collection, a previous collaboration between Game Arts and GungHo Online Entertainment. While the commercial success remains to be seen, the anticipation among fans is palpable.
