The last major Baldur's Gate III patch entered the stress test stage

Baldur's Gate III's eighth and potentially final major patch is undergoing its official stress test. While some Sony console players received early access, developers advise a clean reinstall for those skipping the test.

Patch 8's headline feature is cross-platform play, uniting PC and console players. Friends across different platforms can join, provided they have linked Larian accounts. Remarkably, modded gameplay is also cross-compatible, subject to limitations: all mods must be available across PC, Mac, and consoles, and the host's mod count shouldn't exceed ten.

Multiplayer receives a significant boost with the addition of split-screen co-op on Xbox Series S, a feature previously unavailable on this console.

Further enhancements include a highly customizable photo mode and twelve new subclasses, adding depth and variety. Bug fixes and balance adjustments are also included, though some issues persist. Complete patch notes are available on the game's official website.
