New Manga Series "ReFantazio" Debuts with Captivating Premiere

The first chapter of the official Metaphor: ReFantazio manga adaptation is now available! Dive into Will's story, beautifully illustrated by Yōichi Amano (known for Akaboshi: Ibun Suikoden and Stealth Symphony), on MANGA Plus – completely free to read.

This manga adaptation takes creative liberties with the game's storyline, significantly altering the initial events. Expect a revised opening sequence, new scenes not found in the game, and restructured encounters with allies. The manga also officially confirms the protagonist's name as Will, aligning with the game's default option.

The next chapter is scheduled for release on February 19th, simultaneously with the Japanese version.

Metaphor: ReFantazio, Atlus' latest IP from Studio Zero (led by Persona series director Katsura Hashino), follows Will and his fairy companion, Gallica, as they embark on a quest to save the prince of Euchronia. Following the king's assassination, the kingdom is thrown into turmoil, leading to a people's choice election for a new leader – an event that unexpectedly thrusts Will into the spotlight.

The game's phenomenal success is undeniable, achieving over one million copies sold worldwide on its launch day, surpassing even Persona 3: Reload's record. Critical acclaim followed, earning numerous awards including Best RPG, Best Art Direction, and Best Narrative at the 2024 Game Awards.
