NetEase Games has confirmed a robust post-launch content plan for Marvel Rivals, promising a new hero every six weeks. This commitment, revealed by Creative Director Guangyun Chen in an interview with Metro, will see fresh characters released alongside new seasonal stories and maps every three-month season, split into two halves.

"Each season will feature new seasonal stories, maps, and heroes, with each season divided into two halves," Chen stated. "A new hero will be introduced in each half-season. Our goal is to consistently enhance the experience and keep our community engaged."

The first season, "Eternal Night Falls," already showcased this plan, launching with Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman in the first half, followed by The Thing and Human Torch in the second. Maintaining this pace with iconic Marvel characters presents a significant challenge.

While the game boasts a strong initial roster including Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, and Storm, speculation abounds regarding future additions. Rumors suggest Blade for Season 2, with fan hopes high for characters like Daredevil and other X-Men. NetEase's continued success suggests they are well-positioned to meet these expectations.

Beyond new heroes, Season 1 also delivered balance adjustments and gameplay refinements, with more updates planned. For further information on Marvel Rivals, explore articles detailing Invisible Woman's use against bots, the Hero Hot List, and the use of mods despite potential bans.
