Marvel Rivals Season 1 Begins with Darkhold Battle Pass

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – A Deep Dive into the Darkhold Battle Pass

Get ready for the chilling debut of Marvel Rivals Season 1, "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST! This season plunges players into a gothic horror-themed experience dominated by Dracula, with a surprising shift away from Doctor Doom's usual villainy. The Fantastic Four take center stage as they confront Dracula's sinister forces after Doctor Strange falls victim to a cunning trap.

The Darkhold Battle Pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers a treasure trove of rewards. Complete the pass to earn 600 Lattice and 600 Units, usable for future cosmetic purchases or battle passes. Ten exclusive skins headline the rewards, alongside a collection of sprays, nameplates, emotes, and MVP animations. A key benefit: the pass doesn't expire, allowing completion even after the season ends.

A Closer Look at the Season 1 Battle Pass Skins:

The battle pass boasts a visually striking array of skins, each reflecting the season's dark aesthetic:

  • Loki: All-Butcher
  • Moon Knight: Blood Moon Knight
  • Rocket Raccoon: Bounty Hunter
  • Peni Parker: Blue Tarantula
  • Magneto: King Magnus (House of M inspired)
  • Namor: Savage Sub-Mariner
  • Iron Man: Blood Edge Armor (Dark Souls-esque)
  • Adam Warlock: Blood Soul
  • Scarlet Witch: Emporium Matron
  • Wolverine: Blood Berserker (Van Helsing inspired)

The overall design leans heavily into dark and brooding tones. The blood moon casting its ominous glow over New York City sets the stage perfectly. Loki's All-Butcher skin exudes menace, while Moon Knight's black and white contrast is stark and striking. Scarlet Witch maintains her signature red, and Adam Warlock's golden armor is offset by a crimson cape.

While the battle pass is generating considerable excitement, the absence of skins for the newly introduced Fantastic Four characters (Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic) has surprised some fans. These heroes will debut in Season 1, but their cosmetic options will be available separately in the in-game shop.

With a compelling storyline, a visually stunning battle pass, and the promise of more to come, Marvel Rivals Season 1 is poised to be a major hit. Stay tuned to see what NetEase Games unveils next!
