Marvel Snap's latest season is here, and it's bringing a prehistoric twist to the Avengers. Dive into the ancient origins of your favorite heroes with new cards featuring the first sorcerer supreme, Agamotto, the original Phoenix host, Firehair, and more. Not only that, but there's a new card type with Skills, new locations, spotlight caches, and more exciting additions!

Ever wondered how the Avengers got started? Or what Odin was up to before he fathered Thor (and adopted Loki)? And just who the heck is Agamotto (he of the Eye of Agamotto fame) anyway? Well, wonder no longer, True Believer, because all these questions and more are being answered in Marvel Snap's latest season: Prehistoric Avengers.

Yes, it's not *quite* the first time we've seen them (these prehistoric Avengers have popped up from time to time), but now they're available in card form! Whether it's the very first Black Panther, Phoenix host Firehair, Agamotto himself, or even Khonshu, they'll all be available with some very complicated, but useful, powers.

Speaking of which, Agamotto himself comes with a brand new type of card! Skills are intended to represent actions and abilities more than characters. When played, they are Banished (i.e., super gone, no coming back) and have no Power but cost less Energy to play.

By the eye of- oh you know by nowBut that's not all; we've also got two new locations to play around with. The Star Brand crater adds additional energy if you have the highest power there, while the Celestial Burial Ground allows you to discard a card and replace it with one of the same cost.

That's on top of new Spotlight Caches featuring top-level cards, both old and new! Variant card art and a whole lot more are also making their debut, while the High Voltage mode makes a return and electrifies the pace of your Marvel Snap matches.

But if you're about to leap back into Marvel Snap, don't get caught out by picking a bad hand. Instead, dig into our tier list of Marvel Snap cards ranked from best to worst. Even if you disagree, I think you'll find our reasons for a thumbs-up or thumbs-down worth reading.
