Marvel Snap Deck Guide: September 2024 Edition

This month's Marvel Snap (Free) meta is surprisingly balanced, but the new season introduces fresh cards and the game-changing "Activate" ability, promising significant shifts. While many Young Avengers cards haven't drastically altered the landscape, the Amazing Spider-Season cards are already making waves. Expect a very different meta next month!
Note: These decks assume a complete card collection. I'll present the top five decks and a couple of more accessible, fun alternatives.
Top Tier Decks:

Cards: Ant-Man, Nebula, Squirrel Girl, Dazzler, Kate Bishop, Marvel Boy, Caeira, Shanna, Kazar, Blue Marvel, Gilgamesh, Mockingbird
This surprisingly top-performing deck utilizes low-cost cards buffed by Kazar and Blue Marvel. Marvel Boy provides additional buffs, while Gilgamesh thrives in this high-buff environment. Kate Bishop offers Dazzler synergy and cost reduction for Mockingbird.

Cards: Nova, Forge, Cassandra Nova, Brood, Silver Surfer, Killmonger, Hope Summers, Nocturne, Sebastian Shaw, Copycat, Absorbing Man, Gwenpool
The enduring Silver Surfer deck receives minor adjustments. Nova/Killmonger provide early boosts, Forge enhances Brood clones, Gwenpool buffs hand cards, Shaw benefits from buffs, Hope provides extra energy, Cassandra Nova steals opponent power, and Surfer/Absorbing Man secure victory. Copycat replaces Red Guardian as a versatile tool.

Cards: Wasp, Ant-Man, Howard the Duck, Armor, US Agent, Lizard, Captain America, Cosmo, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel, Man-Thing, Spectrum
The Ongoing archetype remains strong. Spectrum provides a powerful end-game buff to Ongoing cards. The Luke Cage/Man-Thing combo is highly effective, with Luke protecting cards from US Agent. This deck is relatively easy to play, and Cosmo's utility is expected to increase.

Cards: Blade, Morbius, The Collector, Swarm, Colleen Wing, Moon Knight, Corvus Glaive, Lady Sif, Dracula, Proxima Midnight, MODOK, Apocalypse
A classic Apocalypse Discard deck, featuring the buffed Moon Knight. Morbius and Dracula are the key cards, aiming for an end-game Apocalypse/Dracula combo. The Collector provides unexpected potential with sufficient Swarm plays.

Cards: Deadpool, Niko Minoru, X-23, Carnage, Wolverine, Killmonger, Deathlok, Attuma, Nimrod, Knull, Death
The classic Destroy deck, featuring the buffed Attuma. Focus on destroying Deadpool and Wolverine, gaining extra energy with X-23, and finishing with Nimrod or Knull. The absence of Arnim Zola reflects the increasing prevalence of counter-measures.
Fun & Accessible Decks:

Cards: The Hood, Spider-Ham, Korg, Niko Minoru, Cassandra Nova, Moon Knight, Rockslide, Viper, Proxima Midnight, Darkhawk, Blackbolt, Stature
A fun deck centered around Darkhawk, featuring Korg/Rockslide for opponent deck manipulation, disruptive cards like Spider-Ham and Cassandra Nova, and discard effects to reduce Stature's cost.

Cards: Ant-Man, Elektra, Ice Man, Nightcrawler, Armor, Mister Fantastic, Cosmo, Kazar, Namor, Blue Marvel, Klaw, Onslaught
A beginner-friendly Kazar deck, teaching the core combo mechanics. While less consistent than the top-tier version, it provides valuable experience with Kazar, Blue Marvel, and Onslaught synergies.
The meta is dynamic. The "Activate" ability and new cards will significantly impact October's meta. Enjoy the game!
