Mask Around: A Gooey Sequel That Packs a Punch
Mask Around, the sequel to 2020's quirky roguelike platformer Mask Up, is now available on Google Play. This time, the signature yellow ooze returns, but with a significant twist: you'll be engaging in both intense gunfights and close-quarters brawling.
Recall the original Mask Up? You started as a humble puddle of yellow goo and evolved into a… well, a buff pile of goo. Mask Around retains that core gameplay but adds a new dimension with 2D shooting mechanics. Players can seamlessly switch between ranged combat and the close-combat goo-based abilities of the original.
Resource management remains crucial. The all-important yellow ooze is still in limited supply, demanding strategic use, especially during challenging boss encounters. Running out of goo mid-battle could be disastrous.

More Than Just Goo
Mask Around represents a substantial upgrade from its predecessor. It retains the core gameplay loop while significantly expanding upon it. Players must now carefully manage their goo reserves while also utilizing weapons for situations where their goo powers are depleted. The visual presentation has also received a noticeable polish.
While an iOS release hasn't been announced, Android users can download Mask Around from Google Play and experience this enhanced blend of action and strategy. If you're looking for more mobile gaming recommendations, check out our latest list of the top five new mobile games.
