Monoloot: A Dice-Rolling Board Battler from My.Games

My.Games, the studio behind hits like Rush Royale and Left to Survive, has launched a new dice-based board game, Monoloot. Currently in soft launch in the Philippines and Brazil (Android only), Monoloot: Dice and Journey blends the dice-rolling mechanics reminiscent of Monopoly Go with the fantasy elements of Dungeons & Dragons.

Unlike Monopoly Go's close adherence to its source material, Monoloot diverges significantly, incorporating RPG-style battles, castle building, and hero upgrades. Players cultivate a mini-army of powerful characters. The game boasts vibrant visuals, a blend of 2D and 3D graphics, and clear nods to popular tabletop RPGs.

The Waning Popularity of Monopoly Go

The recent decline in the popularity of Monopoly Go, despite its initial success, presents an interesting backdrop for Monoloot's launch. While not necessarily unpopular, its explosive growth fueled by aggressive marketing appears to be slowing. This strategic timing by My.Games leverages the positive reception of Monopoly Go's dice mechanics, offering a fresh take on the genre.

If Monoloot's soft launch region isn't accessible to you, consider exploring other new mobile game releases to satisfy your gaming cravings. Check out our list of the top five new mobile games this week for alternative options.
