Get ready for another chance to hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds is launching a second Open Beta, offering both newcomers and returning players a taste of the action before the full game's release on February 28th, 2025.
New Monster, New Opportunities
This second Open Beta Test includes a brand-new monster to hunt: the Gypceros, a familiar face to long-time fans of the series. See it in action:
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Carryover and Rewards
Character data from the first beta can be carried over to this one, and subsequently to the full game. However, progress won't be saved. As a thank you for participating, beta testers receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack.
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team heard player feedback requesting another opportunity to participate. While recent community updates highlighted planned improvements, these changes are still under development and won't be included in this beta.
Prepare for the ultimate hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds launches February 28th, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
